German Language Courses
1. Self-Study Program Deutsch Uni-Online (DUO):
Professional free of charge self-study program that can be taken for up to six months and is accompanied by weekly consultation hours (online). Language level A1 to C1. Successful participation requires about 8 hours of work per week and is rewarded with a certificate. You will not receive any university credit points for this program.
Registration: Informal registration (with name, e-mail, matriculation number, course of study) by no later than the 15th of each month for the following month at german@h-da.de.
2. German as Foreign Language (DaF) Courses
Video: A quick guide on how to enrol in our German Language Courses
You may enroll in these weekly classes the same way as in any other courses via my.hda. There is one course on campus in Dieburg every Monday from 9.15-11.45 am. The other courses are on campus in Darmstadt or online.
To correctly assess your language level, please take this online self-assessment test and start with level A1, followed by A2 and so on. The Language Center may ask for your results. Don’t worry: those are not grades and you may still switch courses after the first few lessons if you feel you are on the wrong course level.
